This lastest security patch update is draining my battery very fast. Just got it today.
For those of you no longer getting security updates, some reassuring details: you are only vulnerable to this exploit ** if Wireless Debugging is turned on**. For 99% of normal users, this setting is hidden & turned off by default. This exploit cannot touch your phone unless you have actively enabled Developer Options and flipped the toggle for Wireless debugging to ON. Also, this is not a web-based attack that someone can execute from across the world. An attacker must be on the same local Wi-Fi network with wireless debugging turned on, to exploit the flaw.
I got that last week. It's quite a big patch for a security update. Now I know why.

Apparently it's a vulnerability with wireless debugging specifically and if you don't ever turn that setting on, it won't effect you. I wouldn't want to lose my bootloader unlock for this.
Wonderful we're weeks behind in our updates which is why I just had my April update 2 weeks ago now I see that my May update is ready and I have all kinds of exclamation marks in my security and privacy section that need to be addressed
