For those who it didn't work, put a glass of tap water In the freezer aswell and take the drink away when the water froze. If it didn't become slushy yet then push it towards a flat thing. And it will become slushy. Thank me later. Edit: I AM FAMOUS

Soda has a bunch of electrolytes in them, which lower its freezing point and make it easier to monitor its temperature and have it supercooled (tap water can be kept alongside as an indicator, if the water has frozen, then the soda must also be just below its freezing point). Supercooling a liquid just means that it is below its freezing point but has not crystallized yet, which can also be done with regular water although it will freeze into solid ice instead of a slush. Glass for example is also a supercooled liquid. I still don't completely understand why the soda turned into a slushy whereas supercooled water turns into ice, perhaps it was because of a rapid release of gas bubbles.
