Bolstered by extensive empirical data from the past, the Puertasaurus somehow just knew that, despite toxic gases, the geothermal heat of the volcanic areas was the perfect substitute for her for incubating her eggs. She was even able to tell if the temperature was just right. That’s quite an evolutionary adaptation, there. Another amazing evolutionary adaptation was that of the Abelisaurus to this environment. Alas, it was all for naught, however, as millions of years of development hadn’t accounted for the impenetrable eggshells. What a waste of time and ‘effort.’ Millions of years of evolutionary adaptation were also a bust for the Mapusaurus, as the lives of all the creatures in this story were foreshortened in the end. Funny how all the evolutionary twists and turns one way or the other conveniently fall into the scientific narrative, though. Yeah, I’d say the chances of any or all of this happening ‘just so’ are pretty much slim to none.
