A dying lioness with a bone stuck in her jaw starved for two weeks, until wildlife ranger Susan tranquilized her, removed the rotten bone, and risked herself to nurse the weakened lioness with water, shade and cooling care; the lioness slowly recovered, stood back on her feet, and finally wandered off alone to drink by the water source under Susan’s watchful protection.

The hyena be like : “howdy neighbor!”
Hyena said can i eat her
The lion definitely would’ve died if there was no intervention but that tranquilizer very well could have made that death immediate due to respiratory suppression when she was so weak already
Hyena came to say hi
Hyena casually looking if susan left the lion
Hyena: "give up bruh"
What I don’t get is why Susan didn’t administer fluids and monitor recovery? I know she isn’t a vet but they’re simple steps that are vital during and after sedation
How Wonderful to be able to see... Thank You for showing Animal Heroes
