I missed the "cheap" headphone videos. They're what got me into audio. Now my ears can tell the difference between cheap and expensive audio meaning I get to spend more money!

Sennheiser: Understood. Will install a headphone socket, remove all cables from the bundle, and increase the price by €20. There will also be just one of those two pads on the headband. The font will also be in comic sans.

uhh, hey dank, the diagram at 7:08 is AI generated. There's not even a hole for the outlet pipe. Resonance Chamber is labelled twice. Edit for those uninterested in reading the replies: Wade did notice and said it was a 10PM mistake when rushing the video out the door.

3:57 my family insists that I complain way too much about them yelling and just making noise, because I wear headphones all the time. They're frickin open-backs not a magic wand that makes me deaf! Some people just don't understand...

Headphones are a cop-out. I put my head directly into Edison's gramophone for that high fidelity experience

the hole in the headband cushion is actually because many people have a raised spot in their skull where the center of the headband sits, so removing that pressure point makes them more comfortable for long sessions

11:00 these "centerless" foams are supposedly to avoid pressure on the very top of your head, it's more comfortable for some head shapes or something.

6:56 Sorry to be that person but these headphones don't use passive noise cancellation, they use noise isolation. Noise cancellation is specifically when destructive interference is introduced to noise in order to reduce it. The muffler is a good example of passive noise cancellation (although it's not usually called that).

The coily cable isn't to make it long, its a protection. It makes it so if you accidentally pull on it while working on a mixing table you don't yank the connector and damage the cable. It gives you extra freedom of movement in that specific use case.

A friend of mine has sworn by these since TWO THOUSAND AND SEVEN. He used to rock a pair with his Microsoft Zune as his perfect portable audio setup. My first introduction to audiophile headphones. Even now he insists that the Zune has a lovely DAC and with these headphones it’s the perfect match. I can’t say he’s wrong either.
i glue speakers to my head much better that way
