As someone who does tires for a living, thank you for the job security I'm serious 🙏🏻

Patch/plug combo since the 80’s. I’d never trust any repair in the sidewalk wall.

I have never had a tire plug fail

Never try to repair a sidewall damaged tire🤦🏽‍♂️

Strips work well and dirt cheap.

I still use the plug kits they take me less than 10 mins and last the remaining life of the tire. You cannot twist your wrist when pushing it in like you are. Straight in, pull straight out. Slathered in rubber contact cement.

Never once had a plug pull out.

Tire repair plug/strip by 2010🤔 I must have time traveled back in time multiple times!! I know that I have used them several times in the late 80s and 90s!! Maybe Marty and Doc really did have a time machine

Ehhh I never had issues with the tire plugs with the T-handles. I keep a set on the truck along with a compressor in the event of an emergency

Plugs work good and i dont know how long theyve been around but at least the late 90s ..

I’ll definitely stick with the tire plugs unless I’m having a professional tire shop do a plug patch job

I don't use the little caps. I've plugged and patched many with no problems. In a pinch I've plugged the sidewall. Not telling you to do it.

Strips have been used for many decades.

Thay work good put them on my jeep and my Harley

Plot twist: the side wall repair is just for bait.

I was a tyre fitter in the 90s in the UK. We used patches that had a long rubber tail coming from the center of the patch. It acted as a plug in the hole.
