If you do it as shown, it will NOT WORK AT ALL, as the shield is in short circuit with the core. If the connectors are fitted properly, one might get some results if located close enough to a transmitter, but the signal stability is not guaranteed at all. It's easier to just connect a coaxial cable with about half a meter of its end leaving the core exposed only, without the shield. The rivet pin thing is just silly!
