You don't come from wherever & claim to "discover" a place, forgetting Matovu's ancestors continuously lived there for millennia upon millennia.
Interesting the French developer calling them "poachers. They take only what they need to feed themselves. He's poaching their land, customs and livelihood for his gain, like all the others.😢
Calling him a poacher when he was hunting for food is diabolical
Allowed for mining but stoping locals from hunting!? What a joking civilization..
Can't blame them hunting. They just try to survive. Food is a basic need for everyone.
Africans have never had a history of hunting animals to extinction. Extinction came from the demands of Europe and China. Here yo are turning a legacy of natural hunters into tour guides the perfect ambition to facilitate Europeans
Africa!!!! You are not free!!!Limitation and restrictions for occupants of their land, yet with no feasible option to live freely!

Someone needs to stand up for these peoples rights to hunt there land. That is part of the natural relationship those indigenous people have to that land and it is not anyone’s right to to take that from them in the name of tourism. Every place that is beautiful, is not meant to accommodate tourism. I’m appalled.
"Poaching" interesting word. Considering its a tribe that has lived this way for longer then the word has been around.
If I understood it right, they had to give up hunting for a few rabbits for 70 families. Game must be reserved for tourists that come from countries where they hunted their game to extinction. We must now preserve ours so they can come view them for their pleasure. To do otherwise would be regarded uncivilised 😂
For the people that need to hear this. This documentary was not filmed for our people but for the people of white decent. Filmed with their bias. Our people have to start documenting our lands for our people in our vision!
My mother land uganda 🇺🇬

5:44 hunting is bad for Johns business
YouTube Premium is increasing by $2, going from $13 a month to $15 a month. This is a ridiculous increase in price and I refuse to pay it. Thank you FreeDocumentary and my subscriptions for entertaining me but I can no longer support youtube. This service is absolutely not worth $15 a month or a $2 increase. Fix your ads, fix your platform, start catering back to content creators and their viewers and stop waterboarding us with ads and charging us for it. I will be supporting yall on patreon if available bc I refuse to spend $15 simply to skip ads.
I was with the guy who brought the rabbits until he said you and your former poachers, they were hunters and lived in this land long before it was made into a park. They hunted for survival which is different to poaching. He is not helping he is protecting his tourist business.
