Brackets is sacred to me. I still remember my first day on the programming course I showed interest in while in 4th grade. I was struggling to install Brackets and one of the tutors had to help me.

Vim just outlives everyone lol

I miss Sublime. I know it’s still around but we all moved on to better things. I have good memories from the years I used it.

Code Blocks is a hidden gem, not just an unused software...

I haven’t used Brackets in so long but it’ll always have a special place with me. The first editor I used when getting into development.

You missed Adobe Dreamweaver

My first was Sublime text. I accidentally discovered it had code highlighting and was instantly hooked. Later moved on to Brackets, Atom and finally VS Code. I still use sublime sometimes, there's just something soothing about a text editor that IDE's can't match imo.

Brackets was a godsend when it first came out. The ability to live preview changes is taken for granted these days, but holy cow was I absolutely *flying* when I had to do frontend work for clients. Hate adobe, but that was a great product

adobe dreamweaver and php editor were very usefull.

The number of code editors that were killed by VS Code tho lol

microsoft buying github was a tragic event.

Sometimes I miss the Borland Turbo C++ IDE for MSDOS. And Quickbasic before that.

Ultra Edit... I've been using it since the 90s and still love it. They come out with an update every year or so
