Note that the Linux version is kind of an unmaintained relic, but a new version is being built now.
I've been using AirPods on Android and Linux for years. They are just plain good headphones. Basic features work and even ANC is no Problem.
It would be pretty funny to have in-device EQ for airpods with Android first
