I see no evidence of parenting. It’s one thing to prefer your kids are smoking weed rather than drinking, but being permissive about driving high is disgusting.

When she was 1st in the news i remember saying to my husband that she had my mothers eyes. The way she looked at people and in photos made my skin crawl and i would have literal panic attacks, my mother is a diagnosed narcissistic sociopath, one of the last to be diagnosed with the term sociopath before terminology changed to be "less negative", her eyes are my egg donors eyes, she looks at people like that too,with complete and utter disgust, malice and with more annoyance than you would give a loud noise. It terrified me, it really triggered my PTSD.

Yikes. Hearing the parents really reveals where McKenzie got her awfulness from

One of the parts of this documentary I’ll never forget is when the mom was pleading to the judge for leniency and the judge said *“I’m hearing a lot about your daughter but not about the two people who died.”* Which perfectly summed up her parents throughout the doc. I couldn’t stand them and I’m not surprised they raised a monster.

I don't understand why the documentary only mentioned 1 time about the gear shift changing and changing back. That's the biggest sign to me that she meant it and there was a struggle.

She asked “how is Davion?” Not Dom? Could it be because she knew he survived the crash and was worried he would tell someone what happened?

I had no idea Davion was also initially alive. That is so awful.

Her parents clearly never punished her as a child and she always got away with everything

It's crazy that her dad's stance on his 17-year-old smoking weed daily was "at least she's not shooting up". While that may be true, the bar is in hell with that mentality. I can tell you that as an ex-junkie who's been clean for a year and a half, I never murdered anyone sober or high, much less 2 friends who trusted me. She can't say the same. Maybe if her parents had done their job and actually parented her, Dom and DaVon would still be alive.

This girl did not pass out from POTS. I’ve had this condition for almost 3 years now and it was really offensive to see these people use a miserable life changing disability as an excuse. In addition POTS stand for Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, meaning position UPRIGHT high heart rate symptoms. Pots symptoms are expirenced when standing up, and are directly cased by this position. If Makenzie really was diagnosed with this, they would know that.

When she said “I have excessive amounts of grief” in the Netflix documentary, is when I decided she definitely did this on purpose.

Most people with POTS have their license. It's more about going from sitting to standing. This whole docuseries is giving it a bad rap and a lot of misunderstanding. People dealing with it have a spectrum of symptoms, you don't have to disclose it unless you've fainted while driving.

She is a teen that was never taught word no or boundaries or how to control her emotions. She had a "friend" as a mother.

So I have pots. And for me personally, I can feel when I feel like I'm going to pass out. Not the same for everyone. But I do drive. If I feel even a little bit off, I don't get into a vehicle. I'd rather play it safe.

She texted him she would "end his car" and "end his life" then she killed Dom with a car. No that's not a coincidence.
