I started learning python, and vs code was so confusing to set up. I just ended up using pycharm.

Pycharm was my first IDE and i hated it because it was too bloated. I now use Vim
I switched to jb because of the amazing autocomplete. Tried switching back to vscode but it's no match even with plugins
There is the sync feature so you really don't have to configure anything, but whatever suits you best.
When a programmer doesnt want to configure his software to his own requirements, something is wrong
I like jetbrains products, but it damn too heavy to run on my 8gb mackbook when I need to work with 3 repo at the same time. So I'll stick with vs code for now.
