Before pet relief areas existed I took large potty pads. In an emergency I would throw one of them down on a tile floor in a restroom. With the people pee smell she got the idea!😂 I never had to do it midflught, but it was only ever 4-6hr flights. Also, limiting food and water 12hrs before is what my vet recommended. They said that's what they do with surgeries.

I know someone who carries puppy pads when they fly and disinfectant wipes because they have a small dog that can't really hold it anymore. They carry the used pads off in a diaper bag designed to trap smell.

Honestly, when i brought my dog to the airport (i did NOT trust my dad with him last time my dog looked so thin and vomited yellow) i used diapers because i was so neevous and let him piss ages before the flight but when i checked his diaper at the end of the flight, it was so little, it was almost none thank goodness 😅
