The forest is also home to dangerous species such as mosquitoes that can spread malaria, bullet ants, fer-de-lance snakes, green anacondas, and black caimans. In addition, the dense vegetation makes navigation very difficult. Without the knowledge of Indigenous peoples, a simple mistake, injury, or illness can quickly become life-threatening in such a hostile environment.

Surviving on the edge of Amazon vs in the middle of Amazon is different. Human beings hasn't even discovered the middle part of Amazon yet.

I'd argue that the most dangerous part of the Amazon is the Malaria.

I'd give him a safe month, he's entirely correct. The resources are abundant, but the dangerous animals and disease are also abundant because what person from Kansas has any kind of immune system adapted to the deepest and darkest rainforests along the Amazon? I did survival training. I respect survival training but you would need a month of survival training dedicated for the specific regions for wildlife and their adaptations. I mean we barely see rattlesnakes which are essentially pink polka dots on a white backfield compared to bushmasters... And we have a lot more anti-Venom for rattlesnakes. I'm just saying for the amount of discovered and undiscovered life in the Amazon. The claim to survive indefinitely like the local tribes who grow up, learning and observing this environment...very arrogant. I know I could survive given a set amount of time, but there's a reason the show naked and afraid only lasts for 30 days to 45 days.... After that, severe medical concerns take over beyond nutrition

The wildest part is that some parts of the Amazon jungle are so dense, that sunlight never reaches the ground, keeping it in constant darkness throughout the day, yet humid enough to thrive.
