Hey, just a quick reminder: You aren't fat, just postpartum.

I'm 3 months postpartum with baby #3 and was visiting a friend's church yesterday. An old lady literally asked me "do you know what you're having yet?" And touched my stomach 💀 I said "yes my husband is here holding him" 😅

After my first baby (39 years ago) I remember crying that the only thing that fit was socks

I feel very seen by this. My postpartum body situation was way harder than the changes through pregnancy for me. It felt pointless after my twins were out.

A lot of people seem to be taking this video as my overall postpartum message, so I wanted to add some context. This video was intentionally labeled a “crash out” because it was a vulnerable moment, not a summary of what I believe about postpartum recovery. I consistently tell moms to give themselves grace, honor the healing season they’re in, and remember that their bodies just did something incredible. I still believe all of that. That doesn’t mean I never have moments where I’m frustrated by recovery, miss feeling like myself, or wish I could do things my body isn’t ready for yet. Two things can be true at once: I can be deeply grateful for my baby and proud of what my body has done, while also having moments where recovery feels hard. I shared this because I know I’m not the only mom who has felt that way.

This speaks to me on a spiritual level… I’m fighting the urge to chop all my hair off to above my shoulders to mix things up 8 weeks postpartum, but I’ve been growing it out for 3 years and it’s the longest it’s ever been and I don’t want to make any rash decisions 😂😂😂

Omg yes!!! I have been feeling this way the whole first 12 months PP after my first baby. Still struggling, but we will get there! Love the new hair!

I almost cried trying to find clothes just this morning. 2 months PP and everything that "fit" looked frumpy on me. I can't wait to shed some inches.

I feel this so much. When I was post partum, I went from long hair to a fresh shoulder length bob just to feel in control of something 😅

Completely valid and I knew you were going to get your hair done as soon as you started talking about something you could control! Lol You're looking fabulous Chrissy - before and after your hair.
