Those CEOs act like AI can fix any issue on earth. However, AI cant even fix the issues it has brought itself, like insane energy costs, huge water demand and most importantly, taking away people's creativity. The internet is flooded with slopbots and entry level jobs have gone extinct, a better AI cant fix that, it will only make that problem worse.

Spending 1.4 trillion on useless ai rather spending 5 percent of it to make sustainable power plants, which will give jobs and enrich localities.

So basically, all these AI companies are buying the "bread slicer" people are renting out the "bread slicers" not because the slicers are expensive, but because these companies have bought them all, driving up demand in the short term... until they're no longer able to pay up.

Step 1: Get people addicted. Step 2: Make them choose between paying more and relearning how to live without it. Step 3: Recoup losses.

Don't forget ai can actually be extremely useful when purpose built, such as for scientific and engineering endeavours. It's general ai that most of these companies are banking on that is too general to really be useful

While they hold whole nations of wage slaves hostage, French Revolution, Luigi type actions keep seeming more n more necessary to save civilization, the world will survive regardless but your great grandchildren might not own a thing if you don’t bother to fight back
