i would have preferred a more gradual price increase it makes sense for a video title but you can get some pretty good projectors in-between 200 and 2000 that would have been interesting to explore

these 200.000$ class projectors are not only for giant screens in light controlled rooms. but also for pretty big screens in not so light controlled rooms, for example behind a live event stage that has plenty of lights pointed at it. these setups are often done with big LED walls these days, but we still use our two 20000 lumen projectors on a 500 inch screen for some events. to the remark about the black part of the screen still reflecting plenty: there are black projection screens to boost contrast of the image, but of course you need strong projectors to still get good brightness out of those

Couple of things of note: Minor nitpick, lamps instead of bulbs When those go bang, they properly go bang, in some cases taking half the projector with them. It's not entirely uncommon for them to be entirely rebuilt when one of the lamps decide to cupload inside them and take out half the optics.

When I was a kid, I would put my iPod touch in a shoebox at Max brightness upside down, and a magnifying glass would project it onto my wall, I just needed to keep the lights off. It worked better than that 2 dollar projector

Dang Adam looks good during the explainer portions, very well lit and "cinematic" looking. New DP or just trying something different? I feel like things can feel a bit too even and "reality TV" at times, so seeing more stylized bits like this really helps direct my attention towards the subject and not towards the (well designed) but busy set

Make a followup video on the "sane" range of maybe $100 to $1000. I think doing this wide range of price for every piece of tech (speakers immediately come to mind) then following up with a more nuanced, realistic and informative video with a more realistic range for majority of people if the video clicks is a good series idea.
