I knew a guy who's land was taken by saying it was uninhabitable. The whole neighborhood was demolished and then a new multimillion dollar mcmansion walled subdivision was built.

One of the cases that INFURIATED me from law school. And what happened to the land in Kelo? Pfizer NEVER built anything on it and it turned into a feral cat colony. No jobs or even arguable “economic benefit” to the community. What was the consequence to Pfizer? Nothing.

Kelo needs to be overturned. That was one of the worst SCOTUS decisions in history.

Or just don't allow stealing land for private use. If its worth so much, let them pay that much.

This AI frenzy is insane. These corporations are “betting the house“ with the expectation that taxpayers will bail them out just like 2008 because they are “too big to fail.“

US Government took my family's property around the 1940-50s and my grandfather (who was a young man at the time) did not forget that injustice until his dying day.

The solution isn't to make them pay you more when stealing your land, it's to just not let them steal it. Either they offer enough for you to sell it voluntarily or you choose to keep it. The erosion of personal property in this country is damning us all.

Sounds like killdozers need to do major damage to all the corporations. That and luigi's need to start striking fear into CEOs.
