The price essentially being a promotional price is a MASSIVE caveat Edit: it's 1049€ in Europe. So not only is this a promotional price in the US, even that is subsidising the rest of the world. Total joke

In europe its a no brainer, no discussion possible. Macbook neo is 699 euro, the dell xps 13 is 1049 euro here!!! euro prices are crazy, for 1049 euro you get a macbook air m5 with 16gb of ram, not 8gb

I checked the website - $1229 for 8GB RAM, hmm, that’s not even $300 more expensive, it’s almost twice as expensive

No audio jack in a laptop is actually crazy. And it only has 2 USB - C port. That is so bad. Even apple isn't that greedy yet. That actually shocked me.

Because of how expensive all of these laptops are outside of the USA, it almost feels like we’re on the outside are subsidising the costs with high prices just so that Americans can get them cheaper. 😓

Its only same price as the neo in US. Here in Aus Neo cost $899 and xps 13 was $1,399

the perspective is different in the UK with student pricing the XPS is still £699 whereas the MacBook with student pricing is £499 so the difference is larger with the XPS being USD$268 more

It’s crazy that we’ve reached a point where the Windows laptop has a better screen and keyboard, but the MacBook wins on 'unrealistic' heavy workloads just because macOS handles 8GB of RAM swapping like actual magic.
