Prices will rise because Apple needs to maintain its high margins to keep its stock price inflated. So when vendors raise component prices, Apple needs to raise prices to cover its additional costs and its high margins on the iPhone. It is time to ensure that Apple and other manufacturers cannot engineer planned obsolescence to allow people to continue using working handsets indefinitely. (Please don’t argue about 6G or some other such technology, the benefits are not work $2000 every few years.)
