When Mark posts, my day becomes 10x better
Metal standoffs, oooo, luxury!
Not often you see a ESR tester and oscilloscope used alongside a rivet gun and a crowbar to repair the same device!
"Just undo these standoffs.... metal standoffs..." :)
Happy to see you back Mark.
The man who designed that amp, John Curl, is one of the US's most respected audio engineers. For those who are curious, the A52's specs are: 180 watts RMS x 5 @ 8 ohm 255 watts RMS x 5 @ 4 ohm 225 watts RMS x 2 @ 8 ohm 350 watts RMS x 2 @ 4 ohm The frequency response is 5Hz - 100kHz +0/-3 dB, with 0.05% THD at full power. Excellent work, Mark!
I loved those copper rivets, genius, never thought they existed. Bravo maestro 👏
Every time I watch one of your repairs I learn a little tip or trick here and there. Excited to jump into this one!
I have simply no idea what Mark is doing but it is amazingly interesting, love it
i like the continual reference to a certain high-end preamp...with nylon standoffs and paper shims.
A Mark day is a great day 👍👍🤣
best electronics repair channel of youtube
Mark's videos are by far my favourite YouTube content but he makes me feel like an idiot, how brilliant some people are amazes me.
Mark, you absolutely amaze me. Your deep knowledge and the immense trouble you take to film your work. Your are an inspiration to anyone who would get into electronic repair and to an old fart like me who is long past it. Excellent work.
Mark has a spectacular attitude, that is why I watch🎉🎉
AGAIN, I bow down to the talent and the perseverance!
The capacitor through hole issue happened to me too, on a board that lived in an alkaline environment. That is why you always put stitching vias and double sided conductors on power traces.😊
Mark: you have all this lovely excruciatingly expensive HP test equipment (love it, used to use it when I worked in telecommunications research) ....and then break out the cheapest, nastiest wire stripper ever known to man 😂😂😂😂😂
I'll never get how these new fangled transistors work - valves forever!!!
Top work from a top man, well done Mark. 👌
