Its not about protecting kids. Its another ploy to force a digital ID on everyone. The WEF/UN wants a tracked, policed and censored internet as per the UN 2030 agenda. Starmer is religiously following this agenda for his masters.
In Britain, 154 years ago, The Ballot Act replaced public, open voting where voters had to declare their choices publicly or via show of hands, which exposed tenants and workers to potential eviction or job loss if they opposed their landlords or employers. The Act was meant to eliminate corruption, intimidation, and violence. Now the government seeks to impose it.
How do they think they'll manage that? None of the VPN companies are based in the UK. Even China can't prevent people using VPN's, what makes a bunch of fossils in the House of Lords think they can do it?
All the children restrictions were never about children. You see, in order to verify that you are NOT a child accessing c0rn or watching Netflix America instead of UK, you will now be forced to provide an ID. They will make the provision of a manual scanned ID, photo, council tax letters so difficult, that getting a Digital ID will be a no-brainer for the sheep, as will other services that we rely on, like the banks who are in cahoots with the government. The rest of the industries will follow cos they have nonchoice and they will comply to whatever expedites the identification process for something like employing a new person, like when third-parties do background checks. Eventually, you will only be able to do something through your Digital ID and no other way. They will claim that because some under age yoots are using VPNs, how do we know you're not one of them? This will force adults to verify using Digital ID and there you have it. Never really about children, but using children as an excuse to get to the pesky adults that are clearly getting in the way of Liebour from turning Britain into the Soviet Union.

Nobody is planning to ban VPNs anywhere, ever. They don't need to. They just need to ban the *_anonymous usage_* of VPNs via so-called "age"-verification (i. e. identity verification) to reach their goals of total surveillance and control. That's what it's about. People need to stop misrepresenting the actual issue by talking about "VPN bans" all the time, which are never going to happen.
If they ban VPNs it would collapse the UK economy. Most big businesses use VPNs in some way or another especially the banking sector.
