So I live in a city where it's pretty unusual to find homes that are not part of a HOA. But I have some friends who owned a large property in a neighborhood that was no HOA. And someone somewhere nearby I had a peacock that would make that honking sound all hours of day or night. So we named it Freedom and whenever we could hear it while we were hanging out outside we would go "ah, the sound of Freedom!"

Funniest thing was talking to a friend who was staying the weekend on the phone while I was at work. He said "not sure what that sound was but I'm in Appalachia and I know better!" He went back inside. The next day I heard the neighborhood peacocks calling out and asked him if that's what he heard. He said yes and I proceeded to nearly pee myself. Poor thing though it was the call of a cryptid
