Windows powers billions of computers, but behind the familiar desktop is a history of failures, controversies, and decisions that changed personal computing forever. From the catastrophic launch of Windows Me and the infamous Vista Capable scandal to Windows 8's unpopular redesign, Windows 11's hardware requirements, and the privacy backlash surrounding Recall, Microsoft has repeatedly found itself at the center of some of the biggest controversies in tech history. Along the way, millions of users were forced to upgrade, replace perfectly functional PCs, or adapt to changes they never asked for. We'll explore the real stories behind Microsoft's biggest Windows disasters, the business decisions that shaped them, and why critics argue some of these mistakes weren't accidents at all. Those PCs are not e-waste... those PCs are future Linux machines.
Windowz 11 is the greatest Linux advertisement ever.
20 minutes of why you need to switch to Linux now on both your smartphone and computer.
It's not E-Waste. They just need a new Linux OS.
We should all collectively give me the E-Waste so I can sell the E-Waste with linux on it.
Windows 11 made me switch to linux and I will thank it forever for that.
_... the final fuckup..._ yep, real world information.
Running windows 11 on 4gb ram is a joke. Even with 8gb ram, it's barely usable.
I despise Microsoft. This company has really violated our trust repeatedly. The arrogance and hubris is unforgivable
glad i switched to linux, i just like viewing the slopstorm

my god how I hate Microslop
I have a system with an AMD Threadripper 1950X CPU, TPM 2.0, 128GB of RAM, three 1TB NVMe SSDs, and two RTX 3080s, yet Microslop determined that my system can't run Windows 11, so I switched to Linux. I'm not buying another computer when the one I have is more than powerful enough.
I switched to Linux Mint and never looking back!
Keep your old hardware, Stick with windows 10. Run your own third-party anti virus. That's what I'm doing.
Windows XP is and always will be the BEST average user's computer.
240 million PCs are now ready to become converted to Linux. As for computers that can run it, but slowly, those can be massaged with bloatware removed, and other tweaks, by RUFUS and other tools. Obviously, people should not be taking that task on themselves, it should already be that way, but it can be done.
NT for consumer started with Windows 2000/XP, not Windows 95.
People really should give for example Linux Mint a changce. Making those computers obsolete is a crime againt humanity!
3:04 Dropping an update over 50% of devices are incompatible with should be a crime.
