I worked at a windows and doors manufacturing company. This is how its done
The downside is that I have about 15 doors to paint at the same time to stay profitable..... this is a cool idea for 1 door

They're not wooden dowels..... They're called nails.

Screw them together with door shims in a zig-zag pattern in the garage, and paint both sides of ALL the doors at the same time, instead of one by one.
