I have a Hisense TV and Fridge and not had a problem with them, as with any item these days I got a heap of reviews before buying them.

I've found that bottom of the RAnge TCL tV's are fine as a room's public monitor I guess I'd call it as I don't use any TCL software preferring plugins to carry streaming. It's been a decade since we've actually used broadcast TV's to watch broadcasts as better information is available in a relatively uncensored form from streaming.
Years ago JB Hifi sold me a $1000.00 Dell Laptop i5 sent away 3 times with problems from SA to NSW for repair came back not repaired same problem. Not fixed..refund refused never shopped there again. I swapped th Harvey Norman. I won't shop there again either too expensive and always want you to buy an extended warranty.
My experience with TCL is fine. I had a Standard Def 55". Its' backlight dies 3 weeks after the 3 year warranty. My call to TCL was the best experience I've had from any manufacturer. They asked questions and asked me to take a couple of pics on my phone and I sent to them. They then sent a local repairman from an independant repair shop, who agreed the backlight was dead, and advised TCL. A week later a new replacement TV arrived, an HD 55" as TCL no longer made a Std Def. The local repair guy came and collected the old TV. This has now been working for 4 years. My only complaint is the software navigation is not that user friendly, but it may be just like all the other Android based TVs. Would I buy TCL again, absolutely!

Interesting about samsung being the most populating in service centres. Panasonic TV were withdrawn from sale on Australia in 2020. I bought an Oled in late 2019 still going great, software a bit limited by todays standard, otherwise 👍🏼
