I hope Sony changes the name on the "Buy" button to "Indefinite term rent** " ... you know... for the sake of transparency. Edit... It's not just Sony. Every one in the industry should be forced to make VERY clear to the users, that they are not purchasing the content, but licensing it and at any moment they can lose any access to it, so all the money they spent on their "purchase" will be gone. In SouthPark terms: "Aaaand... It's gone". If anyone agrees with that and still give them money, I'm ok with it. But industry should make the nature of the transaction very clear from the begining, instead of hiding it in the small text burried in pages and pages of a dense licensing agreement, hiden far bellow the "Download" button. That is ill intentioned.

And this is after they announced that they were removing 500 movies from peoples libraries because they can.

I don't think they should be allowed to call it buying at this point, it should be classed as a rental..

Multiplayer games idc. Single player games should have a disk version that is completely playable offline. We need to push this initiative

Just a reminder that there's 40 years worth of games out in the market that you haven't played and no one is forced to buy the latest and greatest just because. These companies don't care about angry comments or threats of boycotts. Getting your dollars is all they care about. Personally I'll keep working on my physical PS4/PS5 and physical Switch collections.

Without a Blu-ray drive and physical discs, there is 0 reason to continue with consoles in addition to PC. I won't be getting one without it.

If they're no longer producing discs they have no excuse not to lower prices.

What ironic is that Sony deleted movies in user Libraries just before the announcement.
