For the entire 'how do I flip the camera' segment, I'm just screaming TAP THE PREVIEW! JUST TAP THE PHONE!!

The internet might just not work because the date/time is incorrect, servers can't do a handshake properly.

UPDATE: It had Time + Date set to update automatically in the video, it did not do it. Just now I set the date and time myself, alas I couldn't search celery OR firewood. No updates available either. I tried pressing the screen when using the camera to make it change to the front camera, it took a picture of my confused face instead. Frank smells.

Phone repair person here; honestly, it appears that the rear camera is either dead or disconnected. This is exactly what modern phones do when the back camera fails; sometimes the app will open on the front camera, and sometimes the program just crashes lol

Could be hardware issue (possibly disconnected cable), or could be the OS is bugged out (which could explain why the selfie didn’t save). And about everything else in the video yeah it’s out of date by more than a decade it’s a wasteland when stock. If you get jailbroken 8.1 you can sideload MANY apps and games (archived, fixed, and new such as old games, YT clients like myTube and Reddit clients like Baconit Extended, and Live Store the third party app store). Us Windows Phone users would appreciate if a big YouTuber like you appreciated the homebrewing we do for it instead of just saying bad things about the platform just because socially it was hated 😂 It really is a joy to use when it works, shame you experienced some uncommon issues in your video; It really paints a bad picture for our community, especially when we work so hard to revive it. "Smasnug" made a Windows phone? How strange. I didn't realize until today.

The tiles started to make sense when you log your accounts and they show notifications on the tiles, no need for scrolling notification bar. People hub also used to mix data from your social networks and show updates and post without the need to enter on those social networks

I had an HTC M8 windows phone. Loved it. Sits in a drawer now since it's essentially a paper weight now.

You may need to set the date/time correctly for internet to work, mostly for SSL certificate verification.

It was sad, I had a Nokia 920 that was the windows phone that was super resilient, the one when they hammer a nail into the board with the screen. It could take so much shit, like no damage when dropping it, and it was so responsive and easy and felt good in your hand with some nice little weight to it. But it had like no apps, and the time it got some apps like Spotify, it just never got any of the latest updates. And eventually it just died so I was forced to switch phones since nothing got supported for it. I miss you Nokia 920 :(

I think you had to swipe up or down to rotate the camera 18:20

The rear camera module is probably dead and the phone isnt detecting it, so it defaults to the only camera it does see.
