Got a diesel and has no idea how a diesel should work ever since dpf were invented. Diesels can't be used for short trips, probably never let the car finish a regen, kept ignoring the warning lights, dpf got so much soot that the engine struggles to work. Turbo damage from too much back pressure. Thousands are now needed to repair it.

BMW replaced my DPF under warranty (640GC). I made sure my vehicle was serviced at theirs every single year since purchase..then they quoted me £3500...my question to them was that in the 9 years i serviced my car there..NOT ONCE did any1 tell me what a DPF is and to clear the Soot u gotta drive 20 mins on the motorway every month....after my accusation they authorised the DPF so quickly...

I drive an old car (2016) it owes me nothing and I maintain it properly. My neighbour has a used 5 year old velar on pcp that he can barely afford a set of tyres for it - yet people think he is doing well for himself. .., always makes me smile.

I see many audis and fords broken down on UK motorways these days, and its always young owners standing with the cars, so its evident that they don’t get them serviced or neglect daily oil and coolant checks which obviously risks high costs in neglect.
