For me it wasn't the cartoons or Barbie dolls that made me feel bad about my body. If was hearing the media talk about women's bodies, specifically the Kardashian's being slim thick and boys talking about how attractive that was

I never really felt insecure watching animated or drawn bodies, it is always exaggerated so it doesn’t feel like a beauty standard, just a unique art style. But seeing real people on tv talk about beauty and then showing a thin and curvy woman did Edit: I don’t want to be that person but I didn’t expect this comment to blow up, please stay respectful and don’t spread misinformation or hate
