For a second there, I thought it was gonna spoof the GPS altitude to a slow constant climb to make the drone "hold altitude" which brings it down.

The new dji drones like the lito mini 5 pro air 3s and mavic 4 pro does not need gps to rth so this just makes it go home

The drone jammer is not a permanent way of dealing with drones because there are way more ways of wireless data communication.

Seems more like for consumer drones, a custom drone can be made to behave differently and countermeasures if designed for this, quite easly

What if I told you that _it is technically_ taking control of the drone (from the remote operator) _by_ activating it's fail-safe function, (but lacks access to the other functions its remote operator would typically have).

You can absolutely take controll of the drone. The drone doesnt give a flying F about who is sending the controll inputs. If it looses connection to the controller, and another controller connects to the drone... GG the drone is now yours to do with what you want.
