In fact, following a customer's complaint, the Raipur District Consumer Disputes Commission has directed Maruti Suzuki India Limited to provide the complainant with a new E20 fuel-powered car of the same model within 45 days. If the company fails to do so, it must refund the vehicle's cost (₹18.29 lakh), RTO charges (₹1,86,850), and insurance premium (₹34,644)—amounting to a total of ₹20,50,494. Additionally, the company is required to pay ₹1 lakh for mental agony and ₹10,000 towards litigation costs.
