How does calling 911 ALWAYS work??

I thought they came up with 911 for a different reason

If I remember correctly, the reason why they ask to 'verify' your adress is to keep you in the call longer.

I was 100% sure that was the number because of the twin disaster.

"Hello, 911 what's your emergency? " "I can see Derd! I can't believe my eyes! Aaahh!"

I always thought it was introduced after 9/11 hence the 911, crazy coincidence.

Hey so once i had a broken phone and the speaker and mic didnt work , i acidentally dialed 112 suprisingly the speaker and mic worked on the call .

I thought it had something to do with 9/11/2001 but that’s a volatile topic so I guess not

In italy we have different numbers for the types of emergencies 112 for everything shared by all of europe (911) 113 for generally police problems 114 for child protective services 115 for firefighter problems 116 for roadside assistance 117 for financial police 118 for medical problems And more 4 digit ones for things like forest service
