The 4WD scene we've known for 20 years doesn't exist anymore — and most people haven't clocked it yet. The V8 is done. Tracks are quieter. Fuel's through the roof. The whole game has shifted, and fast. Tonight the crew aren't sugar-coating it. Five things that have changed 4WDing in Australia forever — some for the worse, one that might just be saving it. What does it mean, why has it changed, and what's coming next? No need for starlink out camping at all back to basics is what camping is about !
Might be end off an era in your cycle were everyone is cashed up too the eyeballs but in mine it's still shit boxes and swags and eskys and we love it 😊
we wanna see the kimberley!!
My last trip to Fraser I was camping at Dundabarra. Saddest spectacle was the family camped next to us just glued to their screens all night with the Starlink hookup.
Mechanical diesel to the day I die 💪
Australia the over policed country the place is becoming a joke
Until 2007 we didn’t even think about V8s in diesel 4WDs in Australia (except for a few American vehicles and a few land cruisers with 350 Chevys in them Toyota’s and Nissan diesels were all sixes and were great
Nothing speaks confidence like a 1HZ
I have 2 V8s Jeep WJ Grand Cherokees. A V8 is therapy for the soul !!!! They may be 26 and 24 years old . But love them
It's really very simple. They want to regulate us and our cars out of existence. The hate our pastimes, they don't like us at all. And we keep voting for politicians that allow it all.
The regulations are getting way out of hand for all 4wd’s, the fact that having 33’s and a 3 inch lift is illegal for most cars is ridiculous
Took my 2011 Hilux 3.0 dual cab up the cape in 2024, Telegraph track and everywhere else, standard wheels, no winch, no lockers, only a 2 inch lift with a snorkel, federal rough terrain tyres, did it solo with the dog, pissed it in..
Incredible videos but to be honest I think the government needs to get rid of their emission laws and then needs to be a lot more change to the laws on modifying your car and I need to make it less difficult and less expensive
The governments of the world don't want the people to do anything but work. There's not enough people in Australia to create smog.
It went down hill once they stopped selling New Lada Nivas in Australia.
The one thing to miss most about old school 4WDing, 100% just the simplicity. Being able to fix a diesel on the side of a track with some basic tools and a bit of wire, and that's on a track that is now liekly closed to the public.
Ill be keeping my TD 42 till i leave this earth 😅
In the 🇺🇸 the big v8 is coming back
Sad to see, Im just getting into 4wd. Younger people need to keep 4wd alive!!
