This is why we used to keep shop manuals. No guessing, no YouTube videos, and no calling random people. You sat down, read the damn thing, and then went ahead with your repairs
I like the innovative "let's take it to someone who knows what they're doing" approach.
That 0 volt Lithium battery has built in protection... Press the restart button to access the reserve capacity. It's designed to give you a start if you leave the lights on. It can sit for years and hold a charge. Or try to wake up the BMS by charging it with a good battery (or booster cables) for 30 seconds.
You know it's a Harley if it's leaking electrons onto the floor.
Dang it Sean! An episode 3? You're killing me bro. You're like an old Batman episode and I have to next week.
Dont stick a Metal pick in a Usbc port!! 🤣
As a retired engineer, I can confirm that the software guys always say that it must be a problem with the hardware and that the hardware guys always say that it must be a problem with the software... I worked on both, so it really didn't matter to me because I still had to make it work...
Your motorcycle may be the passion, but your truck, trailer, garage, home, and family are all part of the lifestyle you’ve worked hard to build. Zander compares coverage across dozens of insurance companies, and clients who switch save more than $600 per year on average. See what you could save: www.zander.com/bikes Individual results vary.
I was an ET in the Navy. And when we worked on high voltage systems like Radars, we wore a safety harness with a rope thru the D-ring on the back and someone to pull you off if you took a jolt. We also lined the work area with rubber mats even the walls, since everything around you is steel.
This guy hanging out on the phone with you is top tier customer service
Shawn love your videos but this is like watching my dad using the internet you gotta get a young guy this would have been figured it quickly 😂
That Harley mechanic deserves a raise. Good dude.
This is why we used to have shop manuals. No guessing, no YouTube videos, no calling random individuals. You sat down and read the damn thing and then proceeded with your repairs.
23:56 helps you for free -"I didn't like that guy"
Dude I hope you gave him your real YouTube channel after all the help he gave you.
As an electrical engineer, Roy is the man, don’t disagree with a single thing he said. Good to see people with proper thought.
22:10 Lithium Plating: At very low voltages, the chemical potential changes, causing lithium ions to build up as metallic *crystals* on the anode's surface rather than within the graphite structure. I guess they don't teach battery chemistry at Hogwart's. So the You Tuber you were poking fun at is correct. Your battery uses Nickel Manganese Cobalt Lithium Ion chemistry. The "butter zone" for it is 20% - 80% State of Charge (SOC). I guess we'll have to wait til the next installment to see how much degradation there is after years of sitting at a low SoC.
Perfect way to start a beautiful Saturday
10:52 what the restart means is if you press that button for 3 seconds it will give itself enough volts to start the bike a few times, it's pretty nice
"Coolest motorcycle Harely ever made" ..... RMCR has entered the chat. also you should absolutely have a battery tender on the battery while updating it to keep it from going flat mid update, and any time the battery is flat it will throw a code(s)
