Phenolic has been used in car pistons for decades. Also, its been used in brake caliper, because it could take a lot.of heat, but it also does not rust...

Try making a piston with the top reinforced with pineapple skin . Pineapple skin is absolutely fire proof it does not burn

so they put metal on the top of the carbon fiber piston. the carbon fiber will last longer.

Car manufacturers already tried this. If it worked it would already be in every cheaper car

Heat in the chamber at TDC can peak at 2000C. Start with materials that can tolerate that or pressure is moot.
