If you know someone facing a recovery they cannot handle or afford, no matter how big or small, email Wrecker Rick at [email protected]. Their story could become our next adventure! On today’s episode of Murphys Diesel, we get the call about a dozer buried deep in Spirit Lake, Idaho—and this recovery is about much more than saving a piece of heavy equipment. The dozer belongs to a nonprofit organization that cuts and delivers firewood to families who need help staying warm through the harsh Idaho winters. With an important mission depending on this machine, Wrecker Rick loads up the family and begins the 1,500-mile journey from Arizona to Idaho to recover it completely free of charge. For this massive off-road recovery, Wrecker Rick brings the 10x10 HEMTT equipped with a @zackliftinternational4841 Genesis DWU. Getting a heavy dozer unstuck is no simple task, but recovering heavy equipment in difficult terrain is exactly what Murphys Diesel does best. With the right equipment, years of experience, and a little Murphy’s Law along the way, the crew gets to work helping this nonprofit continue serving its community. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Murphys Diesel family road trip without incredible scenery, roadside adventures, and Wrecker Rick cooking for the family whenever fire restrictions allow. After a long day on the road, nothing beats a hot meal, a campfire, and plenty of s’mores! At Murphys Diesel, paying it forward is at the heart of what we do. From small roadside rescues to massive heavy-equipment recoveries, we believe in helping good people when they need it most—and never charging for these special recovery missions. I hear a 6x6 Tatra cabover goes 60mph down the highway and rides like a Cadillac.
He totally took that windshield home and hung it up.
I feel blessed. I am the guy Wrecker Rick talked to before eating at Bear lodge in the Bighorn mountains about the snow storm we recently had. I had gone out to close the gate at the visitor center when the Murphy's diesel crew went by. I literally spend 2 minutes out there twice a day so the timing was just perfect. I drove a mile to catch up with them and what a down to earth person he is. It was my honor to talk to you Wrecker Rick. I love what you do for people.
Sorry Mrs Wrecker Rick your husband is not a National Icon.....He is a INTERNATIONAL ICON!!!! HE IS LOVED ALL OVER THE WORLD!! He is huge in England!! Start planning Murphy's Diesel international Rescue!! Keep the great work up The Wrecker Rick family 😁
Ol bag was so friendly at the park gate geeze!
I hope that lady at the Yellowstone gate sees this and is embarrassed
Love holding hands and praying with the fam! This man has his priorities straight!
not gonna lie those female park rangers were extremely rude to y’all for no reason. That type of attitude is disgusting. Especially with all the fantastic work you do for FREE. Helping people recover their vehicles.
"Can I help you kill it?" Gotta be the best one-liner of the video.
That lady just wants to be in control and she's not used to being superseded!
Y’all are good people Wrecker Rick! My 8yr old daughter loves watching your videos. Every time I open a door for her she says “always a gentleman”. And I think it’s awesome you say Grace before you eat.
I just ran the Yellowstone Parking Ninjas face through the facial recognition software at my work and she’s participated in no fewer than 30 different protests in the west and Midwest. Y’all can probably guess what her signs always say.
That holdup at Checkpoint Charlie was totally unnecessary but it warmed my heart knowing that you ruined her day, hahaha. People need to prioritize, seriously.
Some people get a little bit of authority and they start making up rules themselves I’m glad you made her call law enforcement and they acted like true AMERICANS! 🇺🇸🇺🇸 God bless you guys. ☝️☝️☝️🙏🙏🙏
Yellowstone lady was mad because some overrode her power trip!
18:50 oh my lord it’s so satisfying when someone who digs their heels in has to shut up and let you do the exact thing they tried to refuse 😂 Can’t stand a Karen, shout out to whatever law enforcement put her back in line 🤘🏽
Going down the road with no window got Rick looking like oh Yosemite Sam from looney tunes.
The older gal at the yellow stone gate sounded like an HOA rep. Lol
