It's obvious to anyone with more than a single digit IQ that it was NEVER about protecting children online, it's always been about overt surveillance of the entire country & total control over what we do, say, hear & see online.

it was never meant to protect children, it was designed to simultaneously pave the way for being forced to use Digital ID online and get used to the idea that the Internet will always leak your data

You know... if the UK government had simply encouraged the use of parental controls instead of taking a draconian approach and trying to block, fine, and dox everyone, they would have achieved better results.

Who would have foreseen that children could bypass these measures? One thing kids are not is stupid when it comes to getting what they want. This has never been about protecting children. This is and always had been about controlling the Internet.

So basically the stupidity of the government has been shown to be exactly that. I never ever put my name credit card number passport details or anything that is a clear security issues on any web site and we have been taught that for our entire internet lives largely because nothing on the internet is secure no matter what helped very much by the fact that we all got stuck with Microsoft that even today is sort of safe but isn't really. This is why DI is sooooo stupid.
