I don't know if I'm the only one who's noticed. You glow in the company of your younger siblings. Your face is cheerful. It's not as tense as usual. You can see genuine joy. You're happy that you can please them. You enjoy their company. It's a pleasure to watch the three of you.

In China, we often say “the eldest sister is like a second mother.” For me, this happened naturally because my parents worked away from home when we were young. With a 12-year age gap with my brother and 9 years with my sister, I grew up taking care of them and watching them grow.
