Putting the HR graph behind a paywall 🤦♂️ I’m fine with paying GC+ for Trails and Nutrition tracking, but this is really a new low for Garmin.
I've been waiting for this for long months. I really like the idea of being able to wear 'regular' watches alongside a band, but first of all: Cirqa is too big, and second of all, who came up with the idea to put the HR chart behind a paywall?! Insane. I'll go with an Amazfit or Fitbit Air

One thing I appreciate about the Fitbit Air is its slim profile (width), which makes it more breathable for a device that basically stays on your wrist all the time — less risk of contact dermatitis as a result. The Cirqa, on the other hand, seems to take up about as much space as their watches.
Just looking at it i know it would burn my wrist up. Fitbit Air really nailed the comfort.
I always wondered what value Connect+ offered by showing the real-time HR, Speed etc graphs on the phone. Now we know what Garmin's plan was!
HR behind a paywall is insanity! You may as well stick with the Whoop at that point because you'd be paying to get those metrics anyway on the Cirqa...
My honest question is what value does this add? It has worse algorithms than the Fitbit Air, costs twice as much and offers no real benefit. It would be great if it had GPS, but it does not.
I literally just bought the fitbit air... I hope I do not regret my decision too much haha

Great first look, Des! Eager to see the in-depth review. I’ll be curious to see the difference between setting Cirqa as the primary vs. secondary device. For reference, I train with an Enduro 3 and will plan to wear Cirqa between training sessions so I can (finally) wear a mechanical watch while maintaining Garmin training/biometric data
I'm glad I didn't wait and got the Fitbit Air as soon as it dropped.
Screen less but looks like the size of a regular fitness watch. Amazfit or Fit seem like the better option.

Thanks for the video. When you do a full review can you let us know if it can connect to your Garmin Edge computer for live tracking of your heart rate.
The size is ridiculous, basically height is the same as 47mm watch, and unusable by anyone with smaller wrists. You'd think the major focus on a device like this would be the size so it would fit more people.
I was really excited for this product. I can’t say I am now it’s out. Seems like it falls short
I worry about the automatic detection. The fact they have a button added makes me think it’s not good at all. I don’t want to hit buttons that’s the point. Let’s hope
Sadly it looks too thick and large. Even on a larger wrist like yours. Guess I'll be waiting a few more years for gen 2.
