Dont rely on a visual check for chassis damage assesment get a trammel gauge, minimum, as you can clearly take the measurements from the N/S and reverse them for the O/S, better still get it on a jig. The rest looks cosmetic so should be straightforward. Best guess 12k
I'm guessing the girlfriend was not a named driver on the insurance, and was driving 3rd party only on her own insurance, or wasn't insured at all.

Audi parts: A new front disk brake shield for my S5, which is about the same size and complexity as a stamped metal pizza pan, is $148US from my local Audi dealer. Gotta cost less than one dollar to manufacture, worth maybe 10 dollars, but the price is 14 times that amount. Audi quoted more than $30,000US for a new 4.2 V8 (mine has a bent connecting rod). I can't even imagine how much Audi will want for genuine replacement parts.
