I had radiation and it did make me really, really tired. That gets better several weeks after. It's ok, rest as needed and give yourself time!

Maybe the newer homes (built in the last 30 years) in the US have air conditioning built in (we call it Central Air), but most homes do not. Where I grew up in Connecticut, none of the homes had air conditioning. Some people buy units to put in the window to cool off one room, but that’s it. I now live in Florida and most people (if not all) have air conditioning. Many older homes still have window units! I currently live in a condo where each unit has air conditioning with a condenser on the roof.
A question I have, is that I thought she was supposed to be getting radiotherapy on both her throat and rib area?
