Emma, if you are luckily enough to get a house with a big garden you will be in your element. Forget the allotment, having everything at your fingertips is awesome. Give your allotment to someone who doesn’t have the space at home 😊 I can vision you pottering and creating a new garden ( with less stress)

So once all the Data Centres are up and running, needing hundreds of gallons to cool their systems so they do not overheat, what are we humans to do? It is bad now, once water for domestic supplies are restricted are we all still just going to go along with it?

Why don't you have a small tool kit that you can leave in the shed, then all your problems are solved. Multi screwdriver, Allan key set & pliers. Problem solved. Also water the ground where you are going to put a cane in you will find it so much easier

Buy a little Swiss Army knife or multi tool you can put on a keyring. I use mine all the time in the allotment. It’s got all the tools on it.

Only 3 weeks without rain! Our village in South Lincolnshire hasn't had rain for 7 weeks. And there's none in the forecast. Waterbutts are empty and we've been on a hosepipe ban for 2 weeks. Trying not to feel anxious about it all. Our priority is keeping the food crops watered, the flower beds and borders have to deal with it.

when you plant in summer it is best to dig a hole and fill that with water,,,,, let that drain down and plant in that ovely damp hole,,,, the new plant roots will follow the water down and have a uch better chance

I thought i had just killed off my nasturtium glad to know its just the weather! I have some jack be little growing its hopefully now taking to growing up the arch! We will see 😂

That's Flea Beetle on your Nasturtium's, mine have been ruined as well this year.
