Omaze is a UK company that buys large, luxury properties and promotes them as a raffle prize while raising money for charity. The lucky winner gets the house and a cash prize. We couldn't resist the challenge! We grabbed our maps and went in search of the £4m, 4 en-suite bedroomed, luxury coastal house. In this video we explore the local area, dish the dirt about Council Tax and sniff out any other juicy details! Just how secluded is it? Where is the nearest pub? or Chip shop? We are Sarah and Andrew and we film around Cornwall and publish videos on YouTube, usually weekly. Sarah collects sea glass to add to paintings of local scenes which are sold on Etsy. The channel is a hobby that we fit around family and day-to-day lives. Unfortunately we cannot answer comments coming in more than a week after the publishing date of the video. Frequently asked questions: Do we have meet ups? We are limited for time because we fit the channel around our family and jobs. We meet up with people who are Patrons and YouTube members, both on group walks and one-to-one. Why not join us on Patreon for meet-up details, ad free content and bonus videos. Unfortunately we do not have scope for further meet ups but if you happen to bump into us while out and about, we will be more than happy to have a quick chat! What camera do we use? Since December 2018 we have used: Canon Powershot G7x MkII and from June 2025, Canon Powershot V1 How do I find the books you use? Some are still in print although some we pick up in charity shops and may be available secondhand on Amazon or eBay. Please refer to the video for the book titles. Sorry but we can’t put a link in every description. Best time of year to visit Cornwall? We love May, June for flora and fauna, July and September for spectacular scenery. What is your dog’s name? Sorry but we do not release the name of our dogs, perhaps you can make up your own name for them. They could put a note on the advert: “It’s so private even Sarah and Andrew at Cornish Walking Trails couldn’t see it”. 😂
Only once did I buy a ticket for an Omaze house, normally wouldn't waste my money. It was one where they dismantled the old house at Bodinick by the ferry to build a monstrosity. I only entered in the off-chance I won so I could pull down the new one.
I'm going to buy a ticket. If I win, you're both invited over for a cream tea.
Not a great fan of Omaze, and I don't work for them, but no one is forced at gunpoint to buy a ticket. The houses are great if somewhat quirky at times. How indicative of the times we live in that so many people go looking for the negatives and ignore the positives, reflected in a lot of the comments here.
You need a drone 😂
My first thought is why hasn’t it sold ? If it was that good…it would be snapped up by now…so you win it then you can’t sell it ..then have insurance and rates to pay while you try to sell it .
Perfect isolation. This is so far off the beaten track that Jo the Omaze lady hasn't found it yet. Love the quirky sculpture park.
Well done you two sneaky peepers 😂 lovely vlog as always ❤wishing you both a beautiful weekend 👍
I really enjoyed this video. Watching your content is a great way to end my working week. BTW, as a working arboriculturalist, I can confirm that Andrew’s tree climbing skills need a little work 😂. Keep up the good work ❤
Well,if you can afford the house you probably can afford a helicopter and pad. Great video!😊
If I win. You'll be invited to our housewarming party 😊
I do love Coverack, but it does blow a hoolie there in the winter, I have had to walk to the hall a few times in that kind of weather ha, ha. They were wise with all the planting on that posh house, as it would be very exposed otherwise. Good luck to whoever wins it. They would probably get a Tesco delivery there, they would need it 😉.
Interesting. I love Coverack too, won’t be buying a ticket though. It’s a shame we didn’t get to see the property, after all your hard work. Just shows how isolated it is. Thanks for the gorgeous views.😊
Pretty village but I wouldn’t want to be so isolated from it and so far away from the shops you’d find in a town. I bet there isn’t a bus either. I’m with Andrew, I’d prefer to live in the village. Thanks you two for the video and I hope your scratches have healed. Take care ❤️👩🏼
When I win the house I’m going to start smuggling but don’t tell anyone
Hi Sarah and Andrew thank you for a lovely video trying to find the Omaze House walking through the brambles and the lanes but the sculptures were nice and Coverack looked a lovely village l am sorry you had to give up work us women go through a lot of different ailments hope you feel better soon and continue to enjoy your walks in Cornwall
Oh goodness. We were in Coverack that day. I'm gutted we missed you. Would have loved to have given you both a hug and tell you how much we enjoy your videos x
''I've seen squirrels do this'' says Andrew as he falls out of a tree..!! 😀 Great video again, really enjoyed!
Firstly Sarah let me say how sorry I am you are having such problems with the dreaded menopause. My daughter is the same. Can't take anything for it either as meds she already takes for epilepsy do not mix in with the HRT, so she's struggling, but working from home. Secondly, think I will buy a ticket for this one! But it will go on the market again pretty quickly! However, Coverack is so beautiful I might re think that! As always, a fun video with Andrew being 007 in his glasses and trying to do Bond style stunts up the trees!! x J x😊😊
I would do the outbuilding/garage up as 'the annex' and then holiday let the big house (part time) and stay in the annex myself...I think the planning permission, as you pointed out, should be allowed then as its for the residents use.
