as a tech person, as long as you actually take care of your phone, it will work for like 10 years. this person likely didnβt take care of their phone, and thatβs not a dig thatβs just the truth lol. I used my old iPhone 8 for 4 years after it was used for god knows how long, and I stopped using it just because I had the option to get a hand me down phone, an iPhone 13. also, that is super easy to fix, she just needs to connect it to iTunes and restore itβ¦ she probably just reset the phone and put the text to make it seem scaryβ¦ edit : I just noticed why this happened, her phone was dead and she accidentally pressed the power on button and volume up button, then right after held power button and volume down button I believe, booting the phone into recovery mode.

As someone whoβs iPhone is a 13 pro max. IT DID DIE AND NEVER WORKED AGAIN.
Then just donβt let it die. Iβve had an iPhone 13 for 3 years and Iβve never let it die.

THIS LITERALLY HAPPENED TO ME!! it restarted by itself like once every 2 minutes it was so weird we tried everything
If it has that symbol it means u have to plug it into a computer and reset it since you havenβt been doing updates on it
Thats why I got an iPhone 11 and she is still doing fine
