Nvidia really love forcing that connector onto us...
I'm Certain that they should be absolutely changed. not just for the 5060, but all of the GPUs and the next gen
Video number 958 of asking zach to make a video how to properly cut grass
Looking at all those empty vram slots makes me depressed to know that just those 4 slots being full doubles the price of the 5060 in my area it's actually depressing
Keep cooking son 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Pls convince my dad to upgrade my intergreted graphics Edit: I’m jokeing I have a 5070 ti why y’all being so toxic
Nvdia is just ragebaiting us at this point 🥀
Love when companies try to cheap out on materials to cut costs when they're the ones causing the rises in costs
I love my 7900xt with ist three 6+2 power connectors, there is nothing more beautifull then seeing a good managed array of cables safely giving power to your graphic brick
I’m a big fan of Yeston’s GPUs but man.. the 12VHPWR is terrible 😭
Gooner Graphics Card is wild
“They are reusing old parts.” “Why does it have the 12 pin power connector?!!”
ahhh yes. the biggest company in the world needs to cut down costs on stuff that generate them less than 80% of their profit
I really hope that Nvidia finds a better solution to the 12VHPWR connector for the next series of graphic cards. I get that in most circumstances its fine but the mere fact that it can catastrophically fail because of a small mistake/error is insane. The fact that it is also rated to 30 lifetime plug-ins is also questionable to me as well.
The 5060 will prove one of two things either the engineering of the connector is so bad it will catch fire no matter the power output or it's a connector specifically for these types of cards that don't require that much power and not for anything 70 class and above
huge L for the connector. absolutely no reason to do that
So I don't mind the 12V high-power cable on mid-tier and lower-end cards, where it will never need the full power capacity. It is a competent cable and has a neat and tidy aesthetic. What I wish is that we would stop pretending it can reliably handle 600W and give it a lower, safer power rating like 500W or 450W; then we could just double up the cable on the 90 series. Just give the 4090 and 5090 two 12v high-power connectors. Yes, it can run according to spec on just one. But it will never melt two.
Please retire the 12VHPWR already. We need a new connector, or just go back to the massive arrays of 8-pin PCIe connectors
