Samsung has been holding out on us. Watertight phones CAN have removable batteries. You know what else you can hold? Water Tight Jerrycans are just 3 bucks for a pack of 12! Use code: THIRSTY at https://www.DrinkBison.com And thank you for supporting the channel and helping me clear space at the factory for bigger machines! The Samsung Galaxy Xcover7 Pro is built to be a corporately rugged work phone. And has the price tag to prove it. Personally I think a regular phone and a case would perform just as good if not better/ since the cameras and charging speed on this guy are.... not great. Would you buy the Xcover7 pro? current pricing is here: https://amzn.to/4yJYCX2 Grab my smartphone tool kit here: https://www.ifixit.com/jerryrig

Proves that you can make a phone that has easily removable batteries. Yet they glue it shut to force consumers to spend more for repairs.
A modern Samsung phone with a removable battery... I never thought.
Is it just me ? I just found out that JRE is the only person Samsung didn't send the new fold and I get the notification Samsung lied. I thought I was up to smth and I get This.
5:34 Samsung just normally likes people to enter in from the back 😂😭
the fact that Samsung made a phone with a removable battery but made it boring in every other aspect makes me a little mad
0:14 literally my reaction after seeing the battery: What? 😮
The front screen looks like Samsung budget line - A06 5G / A07 5G

so they CAN make removable batteries while keeping it durable. They just don't want to.
Ahhh that old Xcover. That's the phone that retailer companies buy hundreds of to use as store scanners for stockers. Home depot uses them and I think some Walmarts still use them too. They are absolutely terrible phones, but they used to be cheap. Now that they are jumping in price, Walmart is switching to mass buying Google pIxels as there store phones.
2:45 idea about having a bunch of useful stuff on the back plate is not bad but I feel like it would make it more gimicky/clownish sort of. It would basically be like those multipurpose pen pouches with a compass, multiplication table, calculator and whole sorts of other stuff.
1:29 gives me chills when he cuts the phone so close to his finger
4:02 LCD screen is for durability. The first S active phone (S4 active) also had an LCD screen.
The best ERA of cell phones
They just made a 150 dollar phone in a rugged form factor and quintupled the price, hell no.
I have this as a work phone. The screen gets scratched easier than my iPhone, both live in the same environment…in my pocket. It works fine. $600 is shocking to me. It seems extremely basic. It’s also huge which is a bummer as I have to carry it around in my pocket while working, getting dirty and sweaty.
Carriers in the Netherlands sell this phone with a subscription just like with any other phone. I think the idea is that a company will buy like 50 of them with subscriptions and give them to workers as work phones.
Yep. Reminds me of the active line. I wanted those phones so bad. But right when I was the age to get a smartphone, they stopped making them. As someone who puts a case on every phone Ive owned, I wanted the active line to come back big time
removable battery in 2026 is like a removable battery in 2025
