I haven't forgotten Dropbox. They have been emailing me for 15 years that I am low on storage.
Dropbox flew so Google Drive could shoot it out of the sky and wear its skin.
Still using it. Just does what it should in the background without ever letting me down even once in more than 15 years.
People turning down 800 mil are living in an entirely different universe than i do
In my opinion, Dropbox has one valuable feature that you highlighted, indirectly, in the video - it is not Apple, it is not Google and it is not Microsoft. Many are growing weary of of the "ecosystems" and may be prepared to pay a little extra for independence from them. I have a Dropbox account which I had pretty well ignored. As a result of this video I may well go back and look at it again. Another excellent video Dagogo, thanks!
You don't need infinite growth. Just build a reliable product and rake in a return for decades like a good local restaurant.
Still using Dropbox free since around 2010. Works like a dream
I still use Dropbox. Because it's been a part of my backup process since 2008.
Had to restore the upload from his Dropbox account
I’ve been 115% over my storage limit for 12 years
I have been using it everyday for the past 17 years
I still use Dropbox and love it ❤ precisely because it is independet from all the other companies
The good thing about Dropbox is that my customers don't need a frickin Dropbox email address to view the files I share, unlike Microsoft, Google and Apple
Steve Jobs offered him a golden parachute knowing he was going to ruin his business.
7:08 “Dropbox is a feature not a product” is such an accurate assessment.
I stopped using any subscription cloud services many years ago. It's like the difference between renters and owners. Tired of subscription everything.
I'm using it since 2010/2011 and for me it worked very well. It just works for what I need.
16:53 what I would have done differently is to design that hoodie to split their name by the zipper instead of dro-pbox to drop-box🤣
Drew is hanging in there with a $2B net worth.
I use it everyday and have so since 2012. Trusty and reliable.
