Ive had this deploy even though ive never tried to fill petrol. And i dont want to spend the 80 quid it costs to get that tool to unlock it. Im in India btw

I think you’ve just solved the issue on the misses car I’ve been ignoring. The diesel nozzle doesn’t fit and you have to quarter press the tigger to fill the tank lol

Ford have a much better system! Only the correct sized nozzle will fit, it won't open the sealed entrance for anything else! No filler cap is required either!

Im not sure how mis-fuelling happens, I mean, if you drive multiple fuelled vehicles daily ( as I used to do for 40 years) then you are ultra careful when you fill up as obviously you check or know, what car you are driving, and then, if you only have one car, ( an alternative fuel to what your car uses), isn’t even on your radar, this is apart from every vehicle Ive had in the last 30 years has had what fuel to use on a label adjacent to the fuel filler, so I struggle to see how anyone does this. But I hope I’m not tempting fate, as Im 60 now 🤔
