You've reached the end
If your brakes fail on a down hill most modern trucks have down hill cruise control which is actually very strong and it's like reducing your speed to amount and your truck will stay there no matter how steep it is and you could also use your jake brakes or engine brake
How the hell can you be a motorist and not notice these runaway ramps? Are you really that stupid the think that " most motorists dont even know about" these?
This is where electric trucks with regen braking come in handy. Instead of wasting all that kinetic energy into heat and having the brakes fail, why not convert it into electrical energy you can put it back into the batteries.
jake brake waiting for its turn in that dark corner
Sometimes cars need to use them too
The best invention for trucks
Most ramps handle speeds greater than 70 mph.
Really ? No one knows about safety ramps ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's why we need jake brake
This ts why you keep the same gear going down.
No break pads on that type of truck
Dare are Jake brakes in trucks
There are several in El Paso, TX, on Transmountain Road, part of Loop 375. There is a unique one here. It is a cable arresting system and is the second one in the US. It is unique because it is in the center median of the highway.
Here in Australia our trucks have brakes that stay on unless there's air pressure if there's a leak in the system and they lose air then the brakes come on its extremely safe and most truckers here know how to fix or temporarily patch a leak as for the brake it's self if it's damaged it can be manually locked off
Wow 😮 😱
Yeah, yeah, now imagine that you don't have no ramp...
Luckily i live in the netherlands (its flat here)
Truck should give manual fuel cut off switch
And if the driver can't read English? Well, still waiting!
cant u use jake brakes? i wonder
